League Lens $100 · soon

What’s planned

Where League Lens stands today, what’s scheduled next, and what it isn’t going to do.

Where it stands

The Sleeper football version is built.

That’s the server, its analytics, every report type, Ask, and the iPhone app with its widgets, and it’s being signed off now, running unattended on a Mac through seven days of real games. It writes with Claude Code on your own Claude account. Everything below comes after that sign-off, and each new platform, sport or model gets a sign-off of its own.

Planned work

What’s being built

Grouped by theme, in the order we plan to do them. There are no dates, and nothing on this page is a delivery commitment. The order can change if a customer gives us a good reason.

  • In progress

    Signing off the Sleeper version

The first version has to run on its own for a week of games, with every scheduled report written or skipped for a stated reason, before anything else is built on it.

    • Seven in-season days unattended, with the history of every scheduled job as evidence
    • An accessibility pass covering VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and dark mode
  • Next

    ESPN leagues

ESPN is the second platform. Private ESPN leagues need the two cookies from your browser session, which the server stores encrypted, with the key in the macOS Keychain.

    • Public and private ESPN leagues, with ESPN’s scoring and projections
    • Linking an ESPN league from the app
    • The same reports, numbers and alerts as Sleeper, checked side by side
  • Next

Your choice of AI, including local models

League Lens doesn’t come with a model; you connect your own. Today that’s Claude Code on your own Claude account. The plan is to let you pick, including a model that runs entirely on your own computer, so nothing about your league leaves it and there’s no subscription to pay. The numbers stay League Lens’s whichever model writes the words.

    • Codex, signed in to your own OpenAI account
    • Local models served by LM Studio on your own computer
    • Choosing the model, and checking it works, from the server and the app
  • Later

    Windows and Android

Today the server runs on a Mac and the app is for iPhone.

    • The server on Windows, running as a service the way it does on a Mac
    • An Android app with the same screens, reports and alerts as the iPhone app
  • Later

    More platforms

After ESPN, the other fantasy football platforms, one at a time, each with its own sign-off.

    • Yahoo, signed in through Yahoo’s own OAuth
    • Fleaflicker, MyFantasyLeague and CBS
    • A list in the app of what each platform supports
  • Later

    More sports

The aim is every sport people play fantasy leagues in, as many as we can support well. Each needs its own scoring, schedules, projections and reports, so they arrive one at a time, starting with the biggest.

    • Fantasy basketball, baseball and hockey first
    • Other sports after those, as the platforms that host them allow
  • Under consideration

    Hosted plans

Plans at $20 and $40 a month, for people who want the reports without running a server. None of the infrastructure exists yet, and what each plan includes isn’t settled.

    • Reports and answers from a server we run, read in the same app
    • Two tiers, at $20 and $40 a month

Out of scope

Not on the roadmap

If you need one of these, League Lens isn’t the right product for you.

  • Changing anything in your league

League Lens only reads. It never sets a lineup, makes a trade or places a waiver claim for you.

  • Numbers from a language model

Every projection, probability and value comes from League Lens’s own analytics. The model explains them; it doesn’t compute them.

  • A model of our own

League Lens writes with an AI you connect, or, on a hosted plan, one we run for you.

  • Accounts and telemetry

There’s nothing to sign up for, and nothing about how you use it is reported anywhere.

How this is maintained

The sign-off and the fantasy platforms are tracked in our own issue tracker, and this page is rewritten from it. Choosing your AI, Windows and Android, more sports and the hosted plans are planned, and haven’t been broken down into tracked work yet. Open bugs and security work are left off.
